DECONTAMINATION SEOUL

Exhibition of the video "DECONTAMINATION" at Seoul Art Space Geumcheon, together with Korean subtitles and 50 South-Korean plants. The video of the performance "Awakening: Destruction" consists of an allegorical healing procedure: Destroyed art objects, contaminated with PCB during an accident in the artists' studio, are subject to a ritualistic performance. The contamination anxiety is reflected in a brighter sense encompassing the fear of the other especially referring to racism assaults during Coronavirus outbreak. At the same time the plants artificially create a space of healing nature to reflect its illusion.
